Pat BlairNow here’s Sheridan Media’s look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Feb. 15, 1921.
Although Sheridan county is the second-largest in the state, with a population of just over 18,000, according to the U. S. Census, the density of population here is almost as great as that of the largest county in the state.
The Civic Committee of the Sheridan Woman’s Club has sent a petition to Mayor M. B. Camplin asking the City Council to provide more adequate protective measures for the safeguarding of Sheridan’s juvenile population.
Despite a change from summer weather to a near-blizzard with a drop in temperature, Sheridan today continued to smile in the spirit of “Optimist Week.”
Sheridan’s Rotary Club has announced plans to observe the 16th birthday of the Rotary movement on Feb. 25.
