Now here’s Sheridan Media’s look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Feb. 14, 1921.

In the City Council session this morning, City Commissioner O. P. Svenberg proposed an ordinance to be drafted that would make it impossible for any structure less than two stories in height to be built in Sheridan’s business area.

A noon-day “Optimists’ Dinner” was held in the basement of the Baptist church today, the first of several social events organized in connection with the observance of “Optimists’ Week” in Sheridan.

Mayor M. B. Camplin told police this morning they must enforce the city ordinance banning loitering of minors in poolhalls. He said police must not only arrest the offending minors but that the pool room operators must be made to account for their disobedience of the law.
