Pat BlairLack of a quorum at Wednesday’s library board meeting means a special meeting will be needed before the month’s end.
Library Director Cameron Duff said a quorum will be needed to handle a library staffing matter.
Duff said the branch manager of the Tongue River Branch Library in Ranchester is retiring effective Dec. 31.
The board needs to authorize him to fill the position before that time, and the library board’s next regular meeting isn’t until Jan. 20. Duff said he will contact Shannon Anderson, who’s the library board chair, to determine if, and when, a special meeting can be called.
In absence of a quorum Wednesday, no items requiring board action could be considered.
However, Duff did give those trustees who attended the meeting an update on the roofing project at Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library. Sheridan Media will have more on that in a future story.
