Pat BlairAs of mid-week, Campbell County Public Health has received confirmation of 10 new cases of COVID-19, and one new hospitalization.
The new cases raise the total lab-confirmed cases to 146, with 24 cases currently active and four active probable cases. Only two of the lab-confirmed cases have had a direct connection to the Sturgis Rally.
Ivy Castleberry, who’s the public health information coordinator, said two of this week’s lab-confirmed cases were males in their 20s, one was a female in her 20s and one a female in her 40s.
Another case was a male in his 30s, one a male in his 50s, two males in their 60s, one female in her 50s and one female in her 30s.
Three of the cases acquired the virus in the community and one as the result of domestic travel. The female in her 30s apparently had known contact with another person who was positive for the virus.
