Sheridan street closures may affect commute

Highland Avenue – a main thoroughfare of northwest Sheridan – has been closed to allow for repairs.
Sheridan Police Chief Rich Adriaens has advised residents to allow for more time and find alternate routes during their commutes as Highland Avenue is undergoing repairs.
For many residents in the area the well used Sheridan street provides quick access to Sheridan Memorial Hospital and Martin Luther Grammar School.
According to Adriaens, the street has degraded and broken down, developing pot holes. While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Adriaens told listeners to allow more time for commutes.
Highland Avenue is scheduled to reopen by mid-September.
