Sheridan Farmer’s Market set to begin July 9

The Sheridan Farmers Market is set to kick off the season on Thursday, July 9, on Grinnell Plaza in Sheridan.
According to a press release from the Downtown Sheridan Association, the market will take place every Thursday evening until the final market on Thursday, September 17. Due to a late start in the season, the committee has extended the operating hours of the market. The market will begin at 5 p.m. and shopping will conclude at 7:30 p.m.
New vendors will be selling at the market, as well as some of the seasonal vendors. Items such as fresh produce, artisan crafts, dog treats, sauces, peanut butter and more will be at the market, according to the press release.
The set-up of the market will differ when compared to previous years, having only one entrance and one exit at the market.
Organizers are asking that shoppers enter the market on the East side of Grinnell. Face coverings are highly recommended but not required. Organizers are asking attendees to be respectful of social distancing while attending the market. Organizers also remind shoppers to leave all pets at home.
Vendor spaces are still available. Potential vendors can fill out the application on the website, www.downtownsheridan.org under the Sheridan Farmers Market tab. Potential vendors can also visit 121 S. Main Street to fill out the application.
