BPD Chief Praises Dispatchers During Celebration Week

Buffalo Police Chief Sean Bissett, in his recent report to the city council, wanted to talk about the dispatchers at the criminal justice center during the week set aside for their celebration.

He gave more details on National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, which was April 13-19.

Bissett said the dispatch team consists of eight individuals which include their Dispatch Supervisor and P.D. Administrator, adding that they are special to him and everyone that depends on their services.

Mayor Shane Schrader, as a member of the local Emergency Management Services (EMS), wanted to give a shout out to the telecommunicators and thank them for being a calm voice in those situations.
