The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) has released their latest update on the Buffalo Main Street Project, as of April 23.

Work will begin to upgrade the traffic signal at Hart Street next week (April 28). Motorists should be prepared for lane closures, 3-way stop sign, and flagging operations at the intersection.

Full depth reclamation (milling) of Main Street from Hart Street to Parmalee Street continues and drivers should be prepared to travel on unimproved surfaces until paving operations begin, weather permitting, the week of May 5.

Watch for Lane closures and flagging operations between Parmalee Street and Trail Street.

Isolated concrete work will continue between Fetterman and Hart Streets, which includes sidewalk repairs, ADA upgrades, and the island in front of the Occidental and City Hall.

The traffic signal at Fort Street will continue flashing red, with a three-way stop sign in addition to the signal.

Utility work will be moving up Main Street to Hart Street with traffic running head-to-head on the east side of Main Street to Hart Street.

Driveways and approaches along Main Street will be closed for a limited time during paving prep and asphalt placement.

Residences and businesses along Main Street will be notified 48 hours prior to any water shut-downs.

No side street parking will be available throughput the project area.

Questions or comments on the project can be directed to Laura Dalles, Senior Public Relations Specialist with WYDOT District 4 at (307) 752-3022 or at laura.dalles@wyo.gov.
