Sheridan Media’s National Love a Tree Day event hands out 600 trees in only 2 hours.

It took only two hours for US Bank, ERA Carroll Realty Co. Inc. and Sheridan Media to hand out 600 trees donated from Landon’s Greenhouse and Nursery. 

National Love a Tree Day was May 16. The nationwide event is a time to appreciate the lives of plants and trees. 

Landon’s Greenhouse and Nursery donated 600 Japanese Tree-Lilac seedlings while US Bank and ERA Carroll Realty joined Sheridan Media to sponsor the event. 

Sponsors provide locations to conduct the tree give-away and provided volunteers to help hand out trees to residents who traveled to one of the sponsored locations. 

Sales manager for Sheridan Media Jim Schellinger, planned the event to last four hours on May 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

But due to overwhelming interest in the event, all 600 trees were handed out by noon. 

The event observed COVID-19 social distancing regulations and handed out water for waiting residents and dog treats to those who brought along their furry friends.
