Sheridan Commission to Consider Semiquincentennial Committee

At their regular meeting Tuesday morning, the Sheridan County Commission will consider forming a county Semiquincentennial Committee.

According to america250.org, there will be celebrations across the country as July 4, 2026, the 250th anniversary of the signing of Declaration of Independence, gets nearer, and Sheridan County will be looking at forming a committee to see what can be planned locally.

Also on the agenda for Tuesday’s meeting is consideration of a contract for consultation services between the county and Terra GIS: consideration of a vacation of property in the Downer Addition; and consideration of a Resolution for the Notice of Intent to establish Penrose County Road.

They will also ratify an MOU with the Wyoming Department of Transportation, an amendment to a grant agreement with the state department of health, and a letter designating the alternate for the Board of County Commissioners.

The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday morning in the Second Floor Board Room, #220, in the Sheridan County Courthouse Addition.
