My Hometown: 10th Annual Photography Show opens Jan. 21

During an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, SAGE Community Arts Executive Director Jill Benson spoke on the specifics of the 10th Annual Photography Show. Find that story here. 

SAGE asked residents to submit photos of images or subjects that reminded them of “home.” This year, residents didn’t need high-end cameras or knowledge of film development. The photographer only needed a camera phone to take part. 

All submitted photos were formatted to appear as if they were taken on a cell phone. This formatting will make the exhibit appear as if viewers are walking through a large cell phone gallery. 

Submissions were due Jan. 6. The juried show opens Jan. 21, and will close March 1. An awards reception will be held beginning at 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 30.
