Ron RichterU.S. Congresswoman Harriet Hageman (R-WY) will again serve on the House Natural Resources and Judiciary Committees for the 119th Congress. Additionally, Congressman Bruce Westerman of Arizona announced that Hageman will serve as Chair of the Subcommittee on Water, Wildlife, and Fisheries and as a member of the Energy and Mineral Resources Subcommittee.
According to information from Hageman’s Office, these assignments place the Congresswoman in key positions to address issues vital to Wyoming, including federal regulations on land use, energy production, and wildlife conservation. In these roles, she will amplify Wyoming’s voice in Congress and ensure state interests are represented in federal policymaking.
Hageman said that she’s honored to serve on the Natural Resources and Judiciary Committees alongside Chairmen Westerman and Jordan, and she looks forward to working with President Trump and her colleagues on committee to advance the will of the American people. In Congress, committees oversee broad policy areas and set legislative priorities, while subcommittees focus on specific issues within those areas. Members draft, debate, and amend bills in subcommittees before advancing them to the full committee and then the House floor.
