Aaron PalmerThe hospital board of trustees for the Johnson County Healthcare Center, during their last meeting, were given updates on the latest from the Family Medical Center from director Heidi Huntley.
She spoke about needed changes to be made for coverage in the clinic.
She also reported that they will be starting “Point-of-Care” testing in Kaycee that will mean patients in Kaycee will be able to get some lab tests there instead of having to travel elsewhere to get them done.
In her written report, she said November clinic visits totaled 1,311 with 22 newly-established visitors.
There were 375 patients seen in the acute clinic compared to 317 in 2023.
She reported that Dr. Allred is getting busier, with 11 patients seen on December 11 alone.
