Sheridan Commission OK’s NOI to Vacate Property

Sheridan County’s Commissioners considered a Notice of Intent (NOI) to vacate public rights-of-way in the Downer Addition.

During the commission’s recent meeting, County Engineer Ken Muller explained that the commission had appointed him as a viewer in the matter, and that his recommendation was to approve the vacation.

The public rights-of-way are known as Maple Avenue from 17^th Street to 16^th Street and 16^th Street from Maple Avenue to Birch Avenue.

He gave more details.

Commission Chair Nick Siddle reiterated the commission was only approving the Notice of Intent to vacate the property, which will get the process moving with public notification and comment before any decision is made.

The commission voted to approve Resolution No. 24-12-027.
