A Lot Size Variance has been approved by the Sheridan County Commission.

During their most recent meeting, the request for the Jones Lot Size Variance was discussed by County Planner Mark Reid.

Reid said David Jones was asking for a variance from the minimum lot area zoning standards to permit reduction of an approximately 0.63-acre parcel to 0.61 acres in the Dowling’s Subdivision, a RR-Rural Residential District in Story.

The reason for the variance is to rectify an encroachment issue with an adjacent landowner concerning a water on his property by conveying about 1,100 square feet of his property where the well now sits.

The commission voted to approve the Jones Lot Size Variance.
