Extension for Gatchell’s USFS Grant Approved by Jo Co Commission

Grant funding for the Jim Gatchell Museum to archive historical materials for the US Forest Service has been approved by the Johnson County Commission for an extension of an additional year for the project to be completed.

Museum Director Sylvia Bruner explained more about the extension.

Bruner said the funding will be used to buy materials and pay their interns for their work on the project.

The commission voted to modify the grant agreement to add an additional year to finish the project.
