SC YMCA offers Bighorn Fridays

The Sheridan County YMCA is inviting the Bighorn community and students of Sheridan County School District #1 to join them for activities each Friday. 

SCSD#1 does not hold classes on Fridays, creating a need for many families that may not have someone at the house to be with the kids. 

While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, SC YMCA Executive Director Liz Cassiday said SCSD#1 students have been spending some time and engaging in activities at the Y for a number of years.

Each week the team at the Y chooses a theme for the day’s activities and offers field trips at least twice a month. During one such field trip, children had the opportunity to skate with the Sheridan’s hockey team, The Hawks.
