According to Perry, the DSA will hold a committee meeting regarding the fundraiser at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15 at Frackelton’s Restaurant. Local business owners and members of the public who wish to take part are invited to attend.
Perry said they hope to have logistics in place quickly as the goal is to hold the event on Nov. 16, with all proceeds going to Elk Fire relief.
Both businesses and amateurs are invited to join as soups will be put to the test. The DSA is also in search of volunteers to bake breads that will accompany the soups.
Perry said if the event raises enough funds, she would like to make it an annual practice to help a different local cause each year.
