Demolition underway at Kendrick Pool

In June Sheridan City Council awarded the bid for the Kendrick Park Pool Project to Dick Anderson Construction, for the cost of $5.4 million.
During an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse Sheridan Recreation District Recreation Manager Zach Stewart said work has begun and demolition is taking place.

Kendrick Pool was built in 1937 by Evelyn & Edward Moore and presented to the City of Sheridan. A 2019 Community Survey resulted in the pool rating as one of the top priorities for investment for recreation facilities by Sheridan’s residents.
According to the City, that survey also resulted in 71% residents feeling it was important to renovate or rebuild the pool.
Funded with Cap Tax, Public Benefit and a Land Water Conservation Fund Grant, renovations are being made to the pump house and wading pool as well as the locker rooms and bathhouse.
According to Stewart, a few other additions will ensure Kendrick Pool is a summertime destination for Sheridan’s kids for years to come.
