Ron RichterThe reappointment of a member to the Sheridan Economic and Education Development Authority was an item of discussion at Monday night’s Sheridan City Council meeting. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
City Councilman Andrew Patceg made a motion to remove two items from the consent agenda and place them on the Council’s regular agenda. The motion was approved and the recommendations from Mayor Rich Bridger to appoint Jacob Martin to the Sheridan Recreation District Board and to reappoint Christi Haswell to the SEEDA Board were placed on the regular agenda. Councilman Patceg addressed the governing body as to why he objected to the reappointment of Haswell to the SEEDA Board.
Mayor Bridger spoke on his recommendation to reappoint Haswell.
The reappointment of Haswell to the SEEDA Board was approved by the Council by a vote of 3 to 2 with Councilor’s Patceg and Aaron Linden voting against the motion. The Council approved the appointment of Jacob Martin to the Rec. Board by a vote of 4 to 1 with the lone no vote coming from Councilman Patceg.
