Public Health Continuing Services During COVID-19 Shutdown

During the Johnson County Board of Health meeting Tuesday, Nurse Manager with Johnson County Public Health Trish Thompson said they are still offering needed services to the community during the COVID-19 crisis, with some changes in how they interact with people.
Thompson said they still continue home visits and long-term care assessments via the Zoom platform, and are prepared to do traditional home visits in an emergency situation, but have so far not needed to do them.
As far as the Emergency Operations Center, she reported that they continue getting those people in the community that need masks in contact with those that are making them.
Monitoring the situation with COVID-19 is also ongoing with the EOC.
As of Tuesday, all patients in the county that were in isolation were released from it.
