The high school version of Mean Girls presented by WYO PLAY and Aspen Grove Music Studio will be at the WYO Theater in August.
Mean Girls is directed by Grace Cannon-Wallace with music direction from Amanda Allyn and features a local teenage cast.
According to the WYO Theater, main character Cady Heron grew up on an African savanna, but nothing prepared her for the wild and vicious ways of her strange new home: suburban Illinois. Heron takes on The Plastics, a trio of lionized frenemies led by the charming and ruthless Regina George.
Adapted from Tina Fey’s 2004 film, Mean Girls was on Broadway and was nominated for 12 Tony Awards.
The community is invited to see the performance at the WYO Theater beginning at 7 p.m. Aug. 15, 16, or 17. Purchase tickets by clicking here.
