Sheridan County has approved and accepted a contract for improvements at the Sheridan County Airport.

Airport Manager John Stopka explained more about the bid and contract.

The cost of the Sheridan County Airport portion of the contract is for just over $443,000.

The airport will receive a grant for 90% of the cost from the Wyoming Department of Transportation’s Aeronautics Division, and the airport will be responsible for 10% or about $44,000 along with engineering costs bringing the county portion up to about $51,000.

The scope of the project will include seal coating and marking landside and airside pavements at the airport.

The project will begin with the Casper Airport in May and then rotate to the remainder of the seven airports around the state.
