A Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for a Polo and Guest Ranch to be allowed on a property zoned A-Agricultural has been approved by the Sheridan County Commission on a split vote.

Boe Gregson applied for the CUP and came before the commission at their last regular meeting.

County Planner Mark Reid gave more details on the application during the

meeting.

During the public hearing on the application, a number of adjacent landowners spoke against approving the CUP, citing concerns over a possible loss of the character of the neighborhood, the increase of traffic issues, and possible septic issues on the property.

After hearing the concerns from the public, Commissioner Holly Jennings gave her opinion on the application.

According to the Public Works Department report, a very similar CUP application by Gregson on the same property was considered by the commission in 2022 and denied.

The commission voted to approve the CUP on a split vote, with Commissioners Lonnie Wright and Tom Ringley voting against.
