Sheridan Commission Approves 2020 Wildland Fire Plan

Sheridan County’s Commissioners have approved and accepted the annual Wildland Fire Management Operating Plan for 2020.
County Fire Warden Chris Thomas said the plan is adopted annually between Sheridan County and its partners.
Thomas explained at the adoption of the plan last year that the purpose of the plan is to address issues affecting cooperation, inter-agency working relationships and protocols, financial arrangements, and joint activities in neighboring counties in Wyoming and Montana, The Bureau of Indian Affairs, the Bureau of Land Management and US Forest Service in both states as well as numerous other agencies.
The county approved and accepted the plan for 2020.
