An amendment to a previous Letter of Concurrence issued by the Buffalo City Council was discussed at the meeting this week.

The letter was sent to the Wyoming Department of Transportation acknowledging the overall costs involved and the costs for the city’s projects piggy-backed onto WYDOT’s Main Street Reconstruction project, set to begin this spring.

The issue, according to Mayor Shane Schrader, is that the costs are higher than originally anticipated, requiring the amendment.

The total cost of the lighting portion of the project changed to just under $335,000 with the city’s matching portion of just over $160,000.

The council approved the mayor to sign the revised Letter of Concurrence for the project.
