Johnson County Awards Comprehensive Plan Contract

During their last regular meeting the Johnson County Commission voted to award the contract to update the county’s Comprehensive Land Use Plan to Y2 Consultants of Jackson.

Y2 Consultants and WWC Engineering of Sheridan submitted proposals with differences in their prices to perform the duties, with both bids under what the county anticipated for costs on the project.

County Planner Jim Waller made his recommendation to award the contract to Y2 Consultants.

According to discussion, the contract with Y2 is for a not-to-exceed amount of $109,000 which is less than the amount budgeted by the county for the project at $180,000.
