Sheridan College Holiday Choir Performance

The special performance is free and open to the public and will take place at 7 pm on Tuesday, December 12 in Kinnison Hall at the Whitney Center for the Arts at Sheridan College. The Chamber Choir will open the concert with a processional hymn to the Virgin Mary that was originally published in 1631.

The Collegiate Chorale will join the Chamber Choir to perform traditional Christmas Carols before closing the concert with the featured piece: “Gloria” by English composer John Rutter.  This song was written in 1974 and divides the traditional “Gloria” text (“Glory to God in the highest”) into three separate movements.   The work will be performed with the choirs and an instrumental ensemble of an organ and eight brass players. Once again, the Sheridan College Holiday Choir performance will be Tuesday, December 12 at 7 pm in Kinnison Hall at the Whitney Center for the Arts.
