While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce Program Development Director  Teresa Detimore and Christmas Stroll Planning Committee Chairperson Robby Smith talked about the events this year on a new Main Street.

According to the Chamber, Christmas Stroll brings up to 3,000 shoppers to Sheridan every year. Although the Stroll itself is focused on Main Street, businesses throughout Sheridan County participate. It all begins at 8 a.m. Friday Nov. 24.

Stroll activities include free photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, make-your-own-ornaments, wagon rides, in-store specials, Christmas carolers, winning Stroll buttons and much more.

Sheridan’s Main Street and Grinnell Plaza will close to vehicles from 4 to 8 p.m. for the wagon rides, marshmallow roasting and food and beverage giveaways.

Starting Stroll Day, and through Christmas Eve, Stroll button holders can check all participating businesses for the number that matches their Stroll button number.

The fun starts at 8 a.m. Friday, Nov. 24. For a full schedule and more, visit the Chamber’s page here
