Council to Consider Snow and Ice Policy Update

The City of Sheridan Snow and Ice Control Plan sets the policy, process, and maintenance levels for snow and ice control for the City and communicates these expectations to the citizens of Sheridan. The City Council, at their regularly scheduled business meeting tonight, will be considering adoption of this year’s updated plan. The major change to this year’s plan is the odd/even parking on City streets when a snow alert is declared.
The proposed policy update states that when a snow alert is declared, vehicles, trailers, refuse containers, and any other obstructions along the curb or streets that are not part of a designated snow route will be limited to the odd numbered side of the street on odd numbered days, and the even numbered side of the street on even numbered days. This will be enforced from 7 am to 10 pm, while residential snow removal is occurring. City Councilman Terry Weitzel.
Also under new business, the City Council will be considering resolutions establishing scaled residential water and sewer plant investment fees and an easement agreement on Alger Street. The Council will meet this evening at 7 in Council Chambers on the third floor of Sheridan City Hall.
