Ron RichterAn application for one of the City’s bar and grill licenses was an item of consideration at Monday night’s Sheridan City Council meeting. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
In March of this year the Sheridan City Council formed an alcohol committee to develop criteria for advertising and awarding the City’s bar and grill licenses. The City received an additional four licenses on July 1 due to legislation passed by the Wyoming Legislature. The additional licenses brought the City’s total of available bar and grill licenses to six. In July, the City Council adopted a resolution establishing the criteria for the advertisement and award of the available licenses.
The Council, at their regularly scheduled business meeting Monday, approved an application from Wild West Hotel LLC, (dba) the Historic Sheridan Inn for one of the available licenses. City Clerk Cecilia Good said the application was rated using the criteria that was developed by the alcohol committee.
The Council’s unanimous decision leaves the City with five available bar and grill licenses.
