Sheridan VA Working to Keep Veterans and Visitors Safe

SHERIDAN, Wy. (March 9, 2020) —The Sheridan VA Health Care System, and all VA medical facilities nationwide, are implementing basic screening measures for signs of respiratory illness and exposure to coronavirus. Our providers have not encountered anyone who has tested positive for it—this is just a precautionary measure. Onsite, we will use standardized screening questions at our entrance and during initial clinical screening. Veterans are asked to arrive early for appointments and to try and limit the number of people accompanying them. This protocol will be in place until further notice.
Medical center staff are also asking that anyone with flu-like symptoms to call before visiting the Sheridan VA Medical Center or any VA clinic in the state. Veterans also have an option of signing into MyHealtheVet to send a message to their health care team. Employees are being told not to report to work if they show symptoms.
