Pat BlairThe flapper look was in at the Elks Lodge Friday night as people sampled appetizers, wines and beers and put in their bids for silent auction items ranging from artwork to WYO Rodeo tickets to getaways.
The event was the Downtown Sheridan Association’s Wine Fest, which celebrated the 20th annual Fest with a Roaring Twenties theme.
DSA board members said the Wine Fest is one of the association’s big fundraisers and funds the flower baskets on Main Street. Robby Smith, who’s a DSA board member, shared her thoughts on the Wine Fest’s popularity.
Among those attending the event were Steve and Edre Maier (MY-er), and Edre Maier shared what brought her to the Fest.
Danyelle Heide, who’s general manager for Star Liquor, T&C Liquor and the Tasting Library, helps the Downtown Sheridan Association organize the wine and beer vendors for the Wine Fest.
She said Friday’s event included over 20 tables, each table offering from six to 12 wines. She said there were seven beer tables from all the local breweries and distributors.
