City to Acquire Lands From Cemetery District

Buffalo City Attorney Ben Kirven told the city council at their recent meeting that he is in possession of the Quitclaim Deed from the Johnson County Cemetery District for lands where a trail will be constructed.

During a council meeting last summer, the Cemetery District approached the city offering the lands in exchange for two water taps on existing city-owned water lines near Willow Grove Cemetery so the district can construct restrooms there.

The proposed trail will link to Buffalo’s existing trail system, beginning at Cemetery Road.
