Pat BlairCited as a great communicator who’s taken the food business by storm, Antonia Armenta-Miller is this year’s recipient of the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce Business Person of the Year Award.
Awards were presented at the Chamber’s luncheon earlier this month. Cody Sinclair, who’s the treasurer for the Chamber board of directors, talked about how Armenta-Miller’s food-truck business came about.
Sinclair said the business, Bonafide Foods LLC, now buys over $40,000 in local meats and produce each year, providing their customers with the freshest of foods and local producers with a viable living.
He said Armenta-Miller has also been active on the Farmers Market Steering Committee and Local Foods Board and was instrumental in establishing the mobile vending policy for the city of Sheridan.
He said Armenta-Miller and her husband both volunteer in projects for Rooted in Wyoming and Pheasants Forever and are leaders of mentorship programs of the National Food Truck Network.
In 2019, Armenta-Miller and her husband bought property for a permanent home base and to establish a community commissary kitchen for themselves and for other mobile vendors to use.
