Hiring Freeze Lifted for Johnson County Sheriff

Johnson County’s Commissioners considered lifting the hiring freeze to allow the Johnson County Sheriff to hire a new deputy to replace one that has left the department.

Sheriff Rod Odenbach came before the commission to explain his request further.

Commissioner Jeff Shelley asked how soon the new deputy could be on duty.

The commissioners approved the request to lift the hiring freeze.
