County Appoints Members to Attainable Housing Council

Sheridan County’s Commissioner have appointed four people to serve three-year terms on the Sheridan County Attainable Housing Council.

Appointed were Dustin Coryn, Wade Beavers, Mandy Koltiska, and Susan Carr.

They will join Bob Utter, Jenny Craft and Sasha Johnston who were appointed by the Sheridan City Council.

Commissioner Nick Siddle thanked those who showed interest in serving on the council.

Sheridan County and the City of Sheridan earlier this fall voted to help establish the (SCAHC), passed a resolution to create a Joint Attainable Housing Trust Fund, and approved a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) concerning the trust fund for the project.

The city and county each contributed $1.5 million in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds for the trust fund.

The Attainable Housing Council will address the problem of affordable housing in the city and county to help lower the cost of housing in the community.
