Aaron PalmerThe administration at the Johnson County Healthcare Center is looking into moving the Home Health & Hospice (HH&H) Department from their current location in the building to a hospital-owned house nearby to help curb losses incurred annually by the department.
CEO Luke Senden said the Cost Report Analysis does mot include the HH&H department, and he explained further.
The JCHC purchased a house near the healthcare center campus in May of 2022 but have only rented it for a month, with little interest shown.
The idea is to use the residence for the HH&H department.
Board President Dr. Mark Schueler said utilizing the Cost Report Analysis has given the JCHC an advantage to save money.
Senden said the firm that performs the Cost Report Analysis has done a great job in their assessment of the facility.
