Sheridan County’s Commissioners have approved a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the University of Wyoming for the county’s Extension Office and compensation for the 4-H Educator.

County Administrative Director Renee Obermueller explained that the previous MOU expired in June but UW and the county have been working on changes to the agreement concerning the new site for the Extension Office at the Sheridan College Watt Ag Center, and the county agreeing to find a suitable site should they need to vacate the current site during the agreement’s five-year life.

Obermueller also explained the annual Contribution Agreement for county/UW personnel.

The agreement designates that the Sheridan County 4-H Extension Educator is a 100% benefitted position, with the county paying 50% of their salary in quarterly installments of just over $5,700 or about $23,000 annually.
