Aaron PalmerTravis Lawrence, with the Buffalo Pool Board, came before the city council Tuesday to update them on the latest regarding the opening date, the new fee schedule to be enacted this year, and other general information.
Lawrence said the pool crew will, starting this week, be draining and cleaning the pool and refilling it, preparing for an opening day of Saturday, June 19th.
The board had discussed opening on June 12th, but decided to take the extra week to balance the pool chemicals to make sure everything was “just right” before opening to the public.
The fee schedule has been set, but they have had donations and will continue to take donations from individuals and businesses that would like to help pay for single person or family passes.
Finally, he said staffing is set with the manager, assistant manager and lifeguards, as well as the snack shack manager all in position for the summer.
