The 37th Annual Buffalo Lions Club Lake DeSmet Fishing Derby has gone well this year, with many prizes given away and many fish caught, with those participating having a lot of fun, according to Adam Teten, President of the Lions Club.

But, there is a very good chance this may be the last year for event.

Teten explains what may cause the derby to go away.

No decision on the fate of the derby has been made yet, according to Teten, but the possibility exists for canceling the event for good.

We will have the list of winners from this weekend’s derby when they become available later this week.

I bet I can get veterans to run the derby next year, and it would be a honest drawing, and more fun, and more beer, root beer that is. With a pig roast dinner at the end of derby. 20.00 per plate
