Aaron PalmerJohnson County Healthcare Center CEO Sean McCallister has given his resignation, and in a release said he is resigning due to personal reasons and the need to be closer to family.
McCallister, in an interview this week, reiterated his reasons for the decision to leave.
He said he feels he is leaving the facility in good shape, and is pleased with the accomplishments at the JCHC over the past two years.
McCallister said the team has turned around a precarious financial situation, and has dealt with the COVID -19 pandemic.
They have added services and discontinued others that were not viable.
He said dealing with COVID has the biggest accomplishment during his time with JCHC.
He said he will miss the team at the healthcare center.
McCallister was hired as the CEO in March 2019, coming to Buffalo from McCall, Idaho, where he was the site administrator for St. Luke’s Health System.
He plans to leave the position at the end of May.
