Volunteers Invited to Help Build New Soldier Ridge Trail Reroute on August 18

The Sheridan Community Land Trust is inviting volunteers to lend a hand on the new Soldier Ridge Trail reroute on Tuesday, August 18 from 6 to 7:30 pm. SCLT Marketing and Development Contractor Chris Vrba.

Vrba said the reroute will create a more gradual climb, add fun turns and grade reversals, open up new views, and improve drainage. The new route will also provide a better connection to future recreation opportunities at SCLT’s Ridgetop Natural Area. Volunteers are encouraged to sign up in advance at the SCLT website.

Vrba said no trail building experience is necessary and SCLT will provide tools and guidance along with snacks and beverages.
