Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce 27th Annual Awards of Excellence: Feb 25
Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive Officer Teresa Detimore and Marketing and Communications Director Jodi Hartley appeared on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse to invite the community to attend the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce 27th Annual Awards of Excellence.
The awards recognize excellence in four categories: Community Champion, Strength of Sheridan, Business of the Year and Business Person of the Year.
Community Champion Award nominees are Chase Christensen, Rosemary Rieder, Dave Schwend, Sheridan County Conservation District and Sheridan County Travel and Tourism. Last year’s recipient was the Sheridan Police Department.
Strength of Sheridan Award nominees are Babe’s Flowers, Best Out West Antiques and Collectibles, Sheridan Media and The Ucross Foundation. Last year’s recipient was the Sheridan County Public Library System.
Business of the Year Award nominees are Catering by Bino’s and Bino’s Corner and Wholesale, Innominate Coffeehouse & Bakery, Kid Curious, Modern Merchant and Peak Consulting. Last year’s recipient was D.B. Smart Homes & Security.
Business Person of the Year Award nominees are Emily Betzler of Bought Beautifully, Chad Franklin of Sheridan Liquor, Susie Garber-Johnson of Legacy Ridge Private Wealth, Ryan Gregory of Resilient Guides and Karen Schumacher of Best Western Sheridan Center & Historic Sheridan Inn. Last year’s recipient was Dr. Irving Robinson of Sugarland Walk-in Clinic.
A change to the program this year includes keynote speaker Sheridan Broncs Head Coach Jeff Mowry, whose team has won five state championships.

The Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce 27th Annual Awards of Excellence begins with a reception at 5 p.m., followed by the ceremony at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, at the WYO Theater.
Tickets are $67 for adults, $37 for ages 12–18, free for children under 12 with a call to the box office and $57 per person for groups of five.
