Jack Wood announced Thursday that he will be running for a seat on the Sheridan City Council in this year’s election. Wood issued a media release where he said that if elected, he will continue to help our community oversee the growth and to help stabilize infrastructure, economic development and community engagement. He said he will also have an open-door policy for all city employees.

Wood added that Sheridan’s future with manufacturing and housing growth is a testament to the community and that he is proud of this and will work hard to ensure that Sheridan remains a vibrant and family-oriented place to call home. Wood has served on the Habitat for Humanity board and is currently a Chamber of Commerce Board ambassador, a role he’s held for the past eight years. Wood also serves on the AARP action team and the Sheridan County Fair Board.

There are three seats on the City Council that are up for election this year, as the terms for Councilors Steve Brantz, Kristen Jennings and Shawn Day will conclude at the end of the year. The Wyoming Primary Election is August 20 and the General Election will be November 5.
