The recommendation by Sheridan Mayor Rich Bridger to appoint Brandy Campbell to the City Planning Commission to fill the remainder of Evelyn Gernaat’s term expiring July 1, 2024, was an item on the consent agenda of Monday night’s Sheridan City Council meeting. Councilman Andrew Patceg made a motion to have the item removed from consent and placed on the agenda under new business.
The following is Mayor Rich Bridger’s response.
The Council voted 4 to 2 to confirm the appointment of Brandy Campbell to the Planning Commission. Councilors Patceg and Kristen Jennings voted against the appointment.

An ordinance to rezone a 3.4 acre parcel at 1600 Solutions Way from B-2 Business District to Higher Education District was approved on first reading by the Sheridan City Council at their business meeting this week. The property is located east of Interstate 90, south of Brundage Lane at the end of Heartland Drive. City Public Works Director Hanns Mercer said the property is the old Emit Manufacturing building and the Northern Wyoming Community College District would like to incorporate the parcel into their campus, which is located primarily west of I-90 but is expanding in accordance with the Sheridan College Facilities Master Plan.
The Sheridan College Master Plan 2023 Update states that the completion of the Advanced Manufacturing and Applied Sciences Center would be this upcoming summer. The ordinance to rezone the 3.4 acre parcel must be approved two more times by the Council before it takes effect.
