Ron RichterThe Sheridan City Council met for their first regularly scheduled business meeting of September Tuesday night. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
The fiscal year budget for the City of Sheridan that began on July 1 of this year included an authorization for up to $100,000 for fuel for the Hub on Smith’s Goose Creek Transit. Prior to the City Council consideration of a fuel contract with the Hub, City Attorney Brendon Kerns gave a brief presentation before the governing body.
Kerns provided details of the contract.
The City Council approved the contract by a vote of 4 to 2 with Councilors Andrew Patceg and Kristen Jennings voting against the fuel contract. We’ll have more from the Council meeting in future stories

Patceg and Jennings are the only true Republicans on the council. Real Conservatives do not subsidize entities that compete against two private business taxi companies. They employ Sheridan residents and pay taxes which fund the give-away. I witnessed two young people exiting a Goose Creek taxi, so its not about seniors. Let GC secure private funds, but do not subsidize with our taxes. If the taxi businesses close and Sheridanites are unemployed- then where are you? Think about what you’re doing. Grrrrr.
