Not only student athletes, but all extra curricular activities students. I my self ,having worked in industries where drug testing is mandatory, sometimes every month, I think the teachers, administration, employees, as well as volunteers need to be tested. The US military does testing for all ranks, mining and oil industries do mandatory testing ( not only for prescreeing but monthly and random). So if the students want to participate, yes, and the adult s who are mentoring, teaching, Coaching should also set and lead by same example.

Where are the funds to pay for this? I agree with the other statements but with all the Education cuts I am concerned with adding costs. How about we start with drug testing all of our politicians? They are obviously drunk or high with the decisions they are making in Cheyenne.

I feel if they are going to do random drug screens, or just drug screens on the athletes, they should do them on all school district employees (pre-employment and random) and everyone involved in any extracurricular activities. Don’t just target the athletes.
