March Madness Begins Thursday / Pokes at UNLV Tonight

2A STATE BASKETBALL – The Big Horn Rams and both Tongue River teams will open the 2-A state basketball tournament tomorrow in Casper

The Lady Eagles open with Wyoming Indian in the first game of the tournament at 9 am.

The Rams take on Rocky Mountain, the Eagles open with Big Piney.

BRONC / LADY BRONC REGIONAL TOURNAMENT – The Broncs and Lady Broncs open the 4-A East regional tournament in Cheyenne tomorrow afternoon the broncs lead off at 1:30 against Kelly Walsh the Lady Broncs follow at 3:00 against Central we will have both games live on KWYO and 106.9 FM.

Lady Broncs Head coach Ryan Sullivan says the other regional teams know what they’re going to get from the Lady Broncs.

And he says the girls have already set the tone for the week.

The Broncs have a big battle tomorrow with Kelly Walsh in the opener, Head coach Jeff Martini says it’s all about everyone being on the same page going into the tournament.

UW BASKETBALL – The Wyoming Cowboys play at UNLV tonight you can hear the game live on KWYO and 106.9 FM pregame at 8:00 tip off at 8:30.

They close out the regular season Saturday at home against Fresno state.

The Cowgirls play their regular season finale at home tonight against Colorado state.

INDOOR TRACK – The Sheridan high school track teams end their indoor season this weekend at the state championships the meet opens Friday in Gillette.

SPRING SPORTS – The spring sports season starts Monday with opening practice for soccer and outdoor track and field.
