Sheridan is scheduled to be back on the court on Friday, February 25th in their home finale and senior night vs. Kelly Walsh (7pm tip-off).
Sheridan Girls:
Like the boys, the Lady Broncs also split their weekend games vs. the Gillette teams.
Sheridan won on Friday at home vs. Campbell County, 52-35, but then lost Saturday at Thunder Basin 55-51.
The Lady Broncs are 10-9 on the season, and 3-6 in the 4A East.
Sheridan is scheduled to be back on the court on Friday, February 25th in their home finale and senior night vs. Kelly Walsh (5:30pm tip-off).
Big Horn Boys:
BH went 2-0 vs. Northeast quadrant teams to secure the #2 seed for the upcoming regional tournament.
On Monday, the Rams won their make-up game home vs. Moorcroft, 63-41, then at Wright on Friday 63-53.
Big Horn is 12-9 on the season, and 6-2 in the 2A Northeast.
BH is back in action on Thursday, February 24th at the 2A East Regional Tournament in Pine Bluffs and Burns.
The Rams first round opponent is Glenrock, who is the #3 seed from the southeast (7pm tip-off at Burns).
Big Horn Girls:
The Lady Rams went 0-2 this past week, but have a chance to turn things around at the upcoming regional tournament.
On Monday, BH lost their make-up game home vs. Moorcroft 57-40, and the lost on Friday at Wright 51-36.
Big Horn is 2-19 on the season, and 0-8 in the 2A Northeast.
The Lady Rams are back in action on Thursday, February 24th at the 2A East Regional Tournament in Pine Bluffs and Burns.
Since there are 5 teams in the northeast, and 3 in the southeast, Big Horn will take the #4 Southeast seed since they finished 5th in the northeast.
Their first round opponent will be Moorcroft who is the #1 seed from the northeast (5:30pm tip-off at Pine Bluffs).
Tongue River Boys:
The Eagles already had the #1 seed from the northeast wrapped up, but still had to finish their schedule vs. 2A Northeast quadrant opponents.
On Saturday, TR won at Moorcroft 72-56.
Tongue River is 19-3 on the season, and 8-0 in the 2A Northeast.
The Eagles next play at the 2A East Regional Tournament at Pine Bluffs and Burns, beginning on Thursday, February 24th.
Since there are 5 teams in the northeast and 3 in the southeast, Moorcroft, who finished 5th in the northeast, will take the #4 SE seed.
The Wolves will be TR’s first round opponent (8:30pm tip-off at Pine Bluffs).
Tongue River Girls:
The Lady Eagles finished in the middle of their quadrant, which might not be a bad place to be in.
On Saturday, TR lost their only game of the week at Moorcroft 64-52.
Tongue River is 8-14 on the season, and 4-4 in the 2A Northeast.
The Lady Eagles next play at the 2A East Regional Tournament at Pine Bluffs and Burns, beginning on Thursday, February 24th.
Their first round opponent will be Glenrock, who is the #2 seed from the southeast (5:30pm tip-off at Burns).
Arvada-Clearmont Boys:
A lot of things didn’t go right for the Panthers, and the season ended without a win.
On Friday, A-C lost home vs. Kaycee 62-31, and then lost Saturday at Midwest 59-31.
Arvada-Clearmont is 0-20 on the season, with an 0-8 record in the 1A Northeast.
With 5 teams in the northeast, normally there would be a play-in game for the regional tournament, between the 4th and 5th place teams, but because A-C finished 5th and didn’t win a game vs. a quadrant opponent, the play-in game will not take place, and the season is over.
Arvada-Clearmont Girls:
The Lady Panthers dropped both of their games this week vs. 1A Northeast quadrant opponents, but still managed to finish in the middle of the standings.
On Friday A-C lost home vs. Kaycee 55-13, and then lost Saturday at Midwest 38-35.
Arvada-Clearmont is 7-11 on the season, with a 3-5 record in the 1A Northeast.
The Lady Panthers will have the #3 NE seed going into the 1A East Regional Tournament, which will be played in Torrington.
A-C’s first round opponent will be Lingle-Ft. Laramie, who is the #2 seed from the southeast (Noon tip-off).
